Notes

The Karl XIV Johan was the replacement for the ageing Sverige Class. The where primary built as a response to the Deutschland armored cruisers and as a part of Swedens "La Jeune Ecole programe. After the war the ships where mothballed, seeing very little service until 1980 when i face of the emerging Kirovs and upgraded Iowas they where upgraded and moderinzed.
